Na t iona l Council o f Jewish Women , at the Jewish Commun i ty Center
T h e fo l low ing books were selected for reviews and tableaux because:
a. each exemp l ified a type o f literary work; the novel , the drama, a
y ou th ’s book, a biography and a historical novel;
b. they were particularly interesting to the membersh ip at large because
of the relat ionship o f the authors to the women who read the reviews;
c. they represented wel l-known contemporary Jewish authors and their
books.

Miss He i lman is a cousin o f one o f our local members. T h e review was
read by Mrs. Arthur Rosenfeld .
T h e scene was from Act I o f the play show ing the arrival home , after
sojourning in Germany for 20 years, o f Sarah Muel ler and her 3 children.
Th ey are greeted and welcomed by her mother.
