ican Library Association which was held in Chicago, July 8th-
14th, 1951. Mrs. Benjamin Fain, active in organizational circles
in Chicago, was chairman of the committee. She enlisted the
cooperation of the libraries of the Board of Jewish Education,
the Hebrew Theological College, and the Chicago Public Library.
David Bonder, Field Secretary for the Midwest Section of the
JWB, shared responsibility for the success of the exhibit. The
conference was attended by over 4,000 librarians, many of whom
visited our exhibit. The Council’s backdrop, booklists and other
publications as well as catalogs and bookjackets that were ob-
tained from various publishers were shipped to Chicago for this
exhibit.
