Beyond this great project in process of being realized, lies the
still greater dream of
A Universal Jewish History
in which Jewish
scholars of Israel and the United States and other countries will

this work will become the definitive and authoritative record of
the Jewish people throughout the ages.

Standing upon the threshold of its second half century, The
Dropsie College looks upon the accomplishments of its first half
century with measurable pride. Unique in its untrammeled free-
dom to search for the truth and dedicated to the highest ideals
of Jewish scholarship, The Dropsie College is rich in past con-
tributions to the treasuries of human learning and is prophetic
with dreams and hopes for the future.
