Sol Liptzin, Yiddish Books; Charles Angoff, Dr. Bernard J.

National L ibrary Week
The National Book Committee, sponsor of the National Li-
brary Week held April 3-9, 1960, requested the cooperation of
the Council in stimulating Jewish organizations to participate
in this program, which was gladly given. We also arranged to
send letters urging participation in National Library Week to
the members of the National Committee of the Council and to
all Jewish Community Centers.
American Library Association Exhibit
With the active cooperation of the YM 8cYWHA of Montreal,
Canada, the Council arranged an exhibit booth at the annual
convention of the American Library Association held in June,
1960, in Montreal. The several thousand librarians from all
parts of the United States who attended the convention had an
opportunity to see and learn about Jewish books. The “Y”
received the cooperation of the Canadian Jewish Congress, and
the Jewish Public Library, the Jewish Book Center, and the
National Council of Jewish Women of Montreal.
