A lan Steinbach upon completion of twenty
years as editor of the
Jewish Book Annual.
Dr. Steinbach has enhanced this major pub li
cation with his literary talents and his utter
devotion. H is loyal service to the Council has
been an inspiration and source of encourage
ment to his colleagues.
As editor of the
Jewish Book Annual
and
of
Jewish Bookland,
as author of nine signifi
cant volumes of Judaica and as poet of award
w inning verse, Dr. Steinbach has enriched
American Jewish literature; as rabbi and
communal leader, he has made enduring con
tributions to the American Jewish com
munity.
On this occasion we salute him and offer
the prayer that he will continue to sustain us
from the abundant harvest of his literary
sowing.
