Knesset proceedings; protocols of all the Zionist Congresses as
well as reports to the Zionist Congresses. Audio-visual materials
include fifty thousand photographs pertaining to Zionism, Pales
tine and Israel, which are used extensively by book publishers,
the press, T.V. stations and also for exhibits. This is supple
mented by a collection of maps, Israeli symphonic musical scores,
Israeli folk music, recordings of historical speeches and events,
slides, and film strips.
The archival collection mirrors the growth of Zionism in Am
erica and its relation to the world Zionist movement and histori
cal events in Palestine and Israel. I t consists of original and
microfilm copies of correspondence, reports, minutes, memo
randa, documents, etc. from the files of Theodor Herzl, Louis
D. Brandeis, Jacob De Haas, Richard Gottheil, Harry Frieden-
wald, Robert Szold, Julian W. Mack, Benjamin V. Cohen, Ber
nard Richards, Abraham Tulin, Gottlieb Hammer, as well as
the World Zionist Organization, the Jewish Agency for Israel,
the Zionist Organization of America, the Keren Hayesod, the
American Zion Commonwealth, the American Zionist Council,
other Zionist organizations, the American Jewish Conference and
the National Archives in Washington, D. C.
