ample, that the Project offered almost no texts from post-
talmudic and rabbinic literature. Special lists have been prepared
therefore containing texts of the Gaonic period (8 th -llth cen-
tu r ies) , as well as the Rabbinic one (llth -16 th centuries). For
the first time comparative copies of Bomberg’s editions of the
Talmud (1520-1523) are being made available. All of this is
considered but the “first round” of a project which is expected
to grow and develop into a major contribution to Jewish re-
search in the years to come.
