Chron. 24:27)
ISAIAH SON OF AMOZ
“The other events o f Uzziah’s reign, early and late, were re­
corded by the prophet Isaiah son o f Amoz.” (II Chron. 26:22)
“The other events o f Hezekiah’s reign, and his faithful acts,
are recorded in the visions o f the prophet Isaiah son o f Amoz
and in the books o f the kings o f Judah and Israel.” (II Chron.
32:32)

were lost.

Chron. 27:7)
“The other events o f his [Ahaz’s] reign and all his conduct, early
and late, are recorded in the book o f the kings o f Judah and
Israel.” (II Chron. 28:26)
Since Isaiah w ro te th e anna ls o f Uzziah an d H ezek iah , he
p robab ly also com p iled the re co rd o f J o th am an d Ahaz. We
may thu s say th a t Isa iah was the co u r t scribe who w ro te the
book o f th e kings o f J u d a h an d Israel. Som e tim es th e book
has in its title “kings o f J u d a h an d Is ra e l” an d a t o th e rs “kings
o f Israe l an d J u d a h , ” b u t it ap p e a rs to be one a n d th e same
book.
